How ready is your organisation for AI?

Answer honestly — pick the option that describes where you are today, not where you plan to be. You'll be scored across 6 pillars:

  • Strategy & Leadership
  • Data Foundation
  • Technology & Infrastructure
  • Use Cases, Automation & Value
  • People & Culture
  • Governance, Security & Risk
  • 12 scored questions, plus 2 about your company

What is an AI readiness assessment?

An AI readiness assessment measures how prepared your organisation is to adopt AI and get real value from it — not just run a pilot. Most AI projects that stall do so for reasons that have nothing to do with the model: scattered data, no clear owner, systems that don't connect, or no way to measure the result. This scorecard shows where you stand across the six areas that decide whether AI reaches production, and what to fix first.

The six pillars of AI readiness

  • Strategy & Leadership (15% of your score)

Clear goals, an executive sponsor and a budget — without them AI stays a side project.

  • Data Foundation (25% of your score)

Centralised, trusted and accessible data. It's where most AI projects fail, so it carries the most weight.

  • Technology & Infrastructure (15% of your score)

Cloud platforms, connected systems and a repeatable way to deploy and monitor AI.

  • Use Cases, Automation & Value (15% of your score)

Use cases ranked by business value, automation of manual work, and ROI that's actually measured.

  • People & Culture (15% of your score)

In-house skills, AI literacy across the business, and a plan for adoption.

  • Governance, Security & Risk (15% of your score)

Usage policies, data ownership, compliance and controls for AI risks such as wrong answers or data leakage.

How your score is calculated

Every question has five answers, from least to most mature, worth 0 to 4 points. Each pillar is scored out of 100 and combined into a weighted overall score that places you at one of five maturity levels: Getting Started, Exploring, Experimenting, Scaling or AI-Driven.

Your weakest pillar matters most. If any pillar scores below 30, your level is held at Experimenting — strong tooling can't make up for data nobody trusts or AI nobody governs.

Why data comes first

Every AI use case — from a support chatbot to demand forecasting — depends on data that is centralised, clean and accessible. If your data lives in spreadsheets and disconnected apps, that's the place to start. Our data engineering services build that foundation, and our AI strategy and consulting team helps you decide what to build on it. Already on Snowflake? About 3 minutes. There are 2 quick questions about your company, followed by 12 short multiple-choice questions — 2 for each of the 6 pillars.
Each answer is worth 0 to 4 points. Every pillar gets a score out of 100, and your overall score is a weighted average: Data Foundation counts for 25% and the other five pillars for 15% each. If any pillar scores below 30, your maturity level is held at Experimenting, because a single weak foundation is enough to stall AI in production.
There are five levels: Getting Started (0–20), Exploring (21–40), Experimenting (41–60), Scaling (61–80) and AI-Driven (81–100). Each one comes with a short summary of where you are and what to focus on next.
Your answers are used to build your report and are stored with your contact details so our team can follow up if you'd like help. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
